Haystacks in a Yangshuo Field by taffy

Haystacks in a Yangshuo Field

Used LR and Textures to create a composite that captured what it felt like, to me, to walk among the Karst formations and see autumn fields of different crops (hay, rice, sesame seeds, cotton). The Yulong River was just beyond the haystacks and trees, before the mountains. Shortly after this walk, Junko and I went on a boat ride down the river, which eventually spills into the Li River, which eventually spills into the Yangtze River which goes to Shanghai and ultimate the Pacific Ocean.
Junko's from the same walk: http://365project.org/jyokota/challenges-and/2016-11-14

You've brought us some stunning images of China! Though I'd never had a desire to venture beyond Hong Kong in years past, this makes me want to do so!

I just love this style of haystack, seems to be widely used in parts of Asia. Rice-straw?

@golftragic Yes, it was in the rice fields and I think it was made of rice straw. There were other crops as well, but didn't look like there was wheat there.
