We spent the morning inside three different ice caves on a glacier on the south ring road. Just getting there was an adventure (great guides Pall & Iggy), and once there, we were able to see two caves almost on our own, then the Crystal Cave with its expected crowds. This was taken on one of the sides where the ice was melting off the ceiling and forming an interior misty rain.
Thank you for your comments and favs on our waterfall/rainbow yesterday!

Fabulous. It looks like a still from a sci-fi movie with that incredible colour and odd shapes. Did the guides know whether this is a 'normal' ice-water flow or increased due to global warming?
Wow what an atmospheric image with the ice melting. Thanks for sharing - this is something I know I will never see for myself - I couldn't go into caves! Fav!
@pamknowler You would LOVE this tour -- I'd highly recommend Pall -- he's amazing and so thoughtful, caring of our needs. He knows Iceland so well and will customize for what you'd need. Last night's northern lights would not ever have happened on our own or with a tour company that had "scheduled" the tour. You HAVE to do this!!! And we'd recommend doing it with him...may be one of my best tours ever! And we're not quite half-way through it!
Love the colours...almost other worldly!
