These horses were in the distance when Pall pulled over so we could photograph the rays of the setting sun. I liked how this horse ended up sort of framed by the rays, and thought his expression was ambiguous -- curious? seeking pets? hoping for treats? teeny bit of a glare at our intrusion? Leader of the pack checking us out?

@shepherdmanswife In Iceland on our way back from one of the peninsulas (snaefells I think) toward the airport. Just on the side of the road, a totally spontaneous stop.
@moonmtn I had a horse for a few years ages ago -- and suspect you are right. She was always more interested in me when I had a carrot or apple in hand!
