I've missed photographing so took myself for a little walk around the duck pond near Junko's house. It was such a peaceful day there, with lots of people hanging out. I was taken with this dad teaching his son about fishing.
My computer is in Apple's hands, getting a new screen. If all goes well, next Wednesday I will have a fully functioning computer. Still need to clean off and organize photos and external drives, but the end is in sight.
It's off to Beaver Island in the morning to open the house and see what we'll need when we move up there for summer and early fall, our LAST move, we hope, before we take over our condo. The end is in sight for that as well!
Thanks for your imaginative suggestions for the ice creature! Great fun!
Such sweetness in this image . . . and you portray our duck pond well! So sorry to hear of the ongoing saga. Feel free to take my little computer to BI if you need it.
@jyokota Thanks - very kind of you! But I have an ETL (very slow, clunky, old) macbook 15" loaner. They made it a mirror of my computer so I can do most things on it. Yours would be more fun to use, but I'd feel terrible if anything happened to it!
So sweet to witness the passing of knowledge, from one generation to the next. His hat is so cute. So sorry that you are trapped by technology failures.... bummer. I am looking forward to your Beaver Island shots, but I imagine that you both are ready to be done with moving. Good luck!!
What a lovely moment captured! Glad the end is in sight for your computer woes and also your final move into your new home! Safe journey to BI - when do you come back? I am getting very excited about our Chicago trip - not long now! Back from Devon on the 20th then Chicago on the 24th! Looking forward to meeting up again and going for some great photo walk! Just hope my feet and knees stand up to it! Lol! Fav for this lovely image!
Oh this is very sweet. I've never seen the appeal of fishing myself! But I know those who love it thinks it's just the best thing going.
Cheering on your computer in Apple and you and yours as you get your place sorted. Sounds like things are moving forwards for you. Sticky patches are often the pathway to better things.
This reminds me of my husband teaching the girls to fish. They used a big range of techniques and little boys with expensive equipment would beg to use the jam jar.
So sweet. I know what you mean re missing shooting. When I come home with a bunch of photos to go through it is often hard to go out and shoot...but boy do I miss it
Love that dear photo. As I read your frustrating saga, all I can hear, running through my brain, is "Happy Trails to you"... OK, a bit "Pollyana", but maybe you can use a little positivity at present! ♥

@miata2u That's so kind of you to say, Peggy. I appreciate it.
