The rising full moon looked huge last night from street level, but by the time I was home and had my camera, it was hidden behind the clouds, and didn't come out again until quite high in the sky.
You'll never lack for a foreground! How gorgeous! I, too raced out to capture the rising moon...and it looked just like this, too! My only alternative choice was the harbour view of Lunenburg...far less dramatic than this!
I had the same kind of experience last night with the moon! As we left the pub where we had Friday night drinks with friends, the moon looked huge and so beautiful as we drove home. We were only blocks away, but by the time I got home to my camera, the sky looked just like this. Like everyone says, 'take your camera everywhere'! I love this photo because of the beautiful cityscape and the very impressive number of windows all lit up. FAV
It was playing hide and seek with you! Does your city stay that bright all night or do the lights go out later on? Just wondering if you needed blackout blinds to sleep........
What an incredible scene. I think a view like this would make me recognise just how tiny I am in the world. Looks great in the filtered moonlight. Not many lights off in the offices at this time of the evening - or are these mostly condos like yours?
This is a breathtaking view! Especially with the moon trying to peek out through those tightly knitted clouds! This would make a mind numbing jigsaw puzzle! Have to look at this on black it a;most becomes 3 dimensional! FAV!
