Taken at my brother's in Colorado Springs where the sun and shadows are so strong. This is Sherlock, debating whether to cross those dangerous lines. I'm picking up my 95 year old mother who is here, to bring her back to Chicago for a few days so will continue to be off-line til the weekend.
Thanks for the comments and favs on my recent night skyline -- very much appreciated!
He's gorgeous, love watching dogs negotiate stuff like deep shadows, and steel plates in footpaths. I guess seeing everything in monochrome would alter perception a bit.
A wonderful image with such strong light and shadows. Beautiful dog! I hope all goes well with your mother’s visit! When was her last visit to Chicago?
I had a dog that looked like this when I was eight...Pointer/Setter mix. Enjoy your visit to Colorado, and I hope your mother will love visiting you in your new home! You're doing what you need to do in the present...see you again soon!
Love the lighting on Sherlock. With such strong shadows and light patches it would be a really tricky photo to pull off, but you certainly have love it.
Enjoy your mother's visit :-)
A wonderful image and such a step to the unknown ! -- he's a beautiful dog ! Best wishes and have a lovely time with your mum -- I am sure she will love your new home !
A facinating interaction of lines and shadows - enough to make anyone nervous about the journey. Great capture - you caught Sherlock in the perfect position. Hope all goes well with your mother staying and you have an enjoyable time.
@jgpittenger It is quite amazing that she's still around, and doing fairly well too. It means I can still be a child to someone -- remarkable at my age. She handled the flight well and now I'm just hoping our place doesn't confuse her at night. She seems happy to be here.
Enjoy your mother's visit :-)
Hope you have a lovely time with your mum, how wonderful to still have her as such a magnificent age.
