Striped Bookends by taffy

Striped Bookends

@ukandie1 and I had an afternoon outing at the zoo, both practicing with our longer lenses. While at the zebras, Andie reminded me of a photo that @rosiekerr had taken a few years ago. So this is sort of an homage to Rosie's photo (and those of others who have posted wonderful zebra stripes scenes!). I'm guessing I'll be posting animals most of this week. Loving the long lens...
nice composition for your title

Well I am looking forward to seeing more of your exploits at the Zoo as this one is wonderful. Did you just have a quiet word with them to stand like that? The perfect half and half shot and ofcourse perfect for B&W.

Not sure if it's true but I've heard zebras have unique stripes. These 2 look different. Super in b/w

Love this Taffy!! I managed to get two of them nose to nose earlier this year. It's a great place to get some practice with the lens in!! Fav!
November 15th, 2017
Brilliant composition and fantastic detail.
November 15th, 2017
Absolutely love this!!! I was too slow on the uptake to get the two of them together, I only got shots of the one that obliged us with a little more time. I have posted a shot from the ape house.
November 16th, 2017
@ukandie1 I think this may have been on my way to meet you. My other zebra shots were a bust -- they were either behind a tree or moving and blurry. Your ape image is so moving!
November 16th, 2017
@ukandie1 Moving as in emotional, not action!
November 16th, 2017
Ok that would make sense, I was sure when we were both together two of them disappeared into their inside enclosure! I do love this shot :)

November 17th, 2017
i've been wanting to get a photo of the zebras like this. the problem is that they are way off in the distance and there are wires around their perimeters that makes photography a little bit challenging. i like this!
November 17th, 2017
Interesting composition. Quite like it.
November 17th, 2017
Super and unusual comp of my fav animals. Fav :-)
November 17th, 2017
Perfect in every way! Did you know that no two zebras are striped the same? It's like their fingerprint. I had fun looking for the differences in these two because at first glance they look like a mirror image. Excellent shot!
November 18th, 2017
Wow this comp and and strong b&w!
November 18th, 2017
Ha, ha! "Cheek to Cheek!" :) Thanks for the nod. Love the stripes.
