Andie and I had another photowalk today, this time to the 95th floor observatory at the John Hancock building. It was a fairly clear day and evening, so while my goal was to practice with my long lens and create some architectural abstracts, it was hard not to get taken in by the grand cityscape below.
Thank you for your kind responses to my posted images. I'll be back to commenting later tomorrow.
Wow Taffy, it crossed my mind that you had carefully coloured in blocks to create this scene. It really is a magnificent sight. The way the lights along the streets go way back to converge in the distance give a real sense of scale of the city. But then, the detail of the cars lined up on the street as well. So love this shot.
If I lived up there, I would call my house The Bird’s Nest! Such a viewpoint so high above the city, looking down on the colour, the shape, the movement of vehicles, people, lights. Like being perched at the top of the tree, master of all you survey. Lovely shot.
@deborah63 Thanks! Night photography is so much fun, but the main reason I started on it was working all day and not having time to get out until after dark! Who knew then it would become one of my preferences!
