I don't usually do much with street photography, but thought the 50mm lens itself to some attempts. I was planning to focus on the bikes, but the guy walked right into my shot and I thought he actually added important interest.
In London, these are called "Boris Bikes" because Boris Johnson got them installed when he was Mayor of London. My husband uses them all the time around the City. I like the guy in shot, he does add something.
This is cool. I took a very similar one in Paris the other day with the 'Vélibs' which have all recently been renewed as they have changed out the contract. The repeating shapes are just too tempting!
Such a neat row of bikes, with the exception of that one seat!
I agree that the man adds interest, I've photographed the bikes here in Liverpool, they look pretty bland without something else in the shot.
@louannwarren Thanks Lou Ann! I actually saw him from a distance and waited til he got to the right spot to shoot the image. I was worried he would peal off and not end up where I needed him to be, so lucked out that he stayed the course!
