From our canoe/kayak visit to Barney's lake. These two were on the tip of the kayak and stayed there for several minutes. It made me wish I had my micro lens with me for a clearer document type image. I liked that in this one, they sort of form a heart.
Last day today of family visitors, who depart on the morning ferry tomorrow. 4 Teenagers X 6.5 Days + (4 X 6.5 X 8 meals/day) + (4 X 6.5 X 2 towels/day) + (4 X 6.5 X 10 snacks/day) = ....[fill in the blank]. But it has been entertaining!
How I love the crisp clear web of those wings against the pastel colours of the dreamy sky. It is a pose I have seen before, many times but you have shown it here to perfection with this masterful shot.
LOL and LOL!! You have to love young people - but they sure do live in a world of their own - big sigh of tired relief from you - after you've washed all the sheets and towels and made all the beds and .......P,S. - love the damselflies. :)
Love the nearly heart of the damselflies - a beautiful capture!! Breath a sigh of relief tomorrow when your loved ones depart. Lovely to have them visit and even better when they go home!! LOL!! Have a well deserved rest!! Fav for this gorgeous image!
Love the color pop against the muted background and the commentary alone serves a fav! But I’m giving it for the shape, grace, sharpness of the dragons
Just thinking this is serious photography! Just taken my photos into the show fir judging tomorrow. We were just saying how stunning today entries are, mine used to do OK when I used a proper DLSR camera but I don't think a iphone5 cuts the mustard somehow!! I will upgrade my phone this year but still love the convenience of a camera phone in my pocket. This is stunning, I could have put it up on that marquee wall with pride instead if slinking out with my offerings! 😃
This is definitely a ‘wow’ photograph and should definitely be entered into a competition. Just love the clarity, fragility and the soft tones. Fav. I am sure you will miss your lovely young visitors, but time for a bit of a rest now!!
Love the sums! So that's over 50 towels that needed picking up off the floor then :) Only a teenager could invent the floordrobe.
Thanks for the follow.
@happypat What an absolutely wonderful, ego-boosting comment! I really appreciate it! I'm about to hang a display for Beaver Island's annual art show that raises funds for the historical society, so your words were quite timely and a nice boost of confidence. Now I wish I'd printed this one!
You are going to need a rest after your visitors leave.
