It took SO many photos to get one in focus, but at least there was one! With a clear hummingbird, I then created the composite with flowers instead of the feeder. Processing in LR, Textures, and Photoshop.
Bravo!!! I have no end of hummers at my feeders, but they're less than exciting in that location! Thanks to you and your gorgeous image, I'll now give myself permission to make a composite one day soon!
Fabulous capture of the hummingbird - I wish I could see one and have a go at getting a shot as they really are beautiful!! Well done on the composite as it looks like the hummer is really over the flowers. Very clever!! Fav!
Wow, Taffy! An incredible capture! Love the eye on the hummingbird! Nice to be able to changes out the things you do not like...I don't know how to do that yet. See you on the TT page! A fab fav!
great composite and even greater shot of the hummingbird which is really difficult to do - i know, as i've tried at all opportunities, and it's the oldest item in my bucket list! aces, miss taffy!
@olivetreeann@Weezilou I think what helps with the composite is both were taking in the same place and same lighting. Hummingbirds are so hard to capture that waiting for them to happen on a flower here isn't practical!
@taffy You've got that right! A funny note: When we fill the feeders, they're over in a shot and I laugh, saying they're always watching us. In the last few days I've noticed the spot they fly to after feeding, and it's a wide angle view of the back yard! They ARE watching us!
