Twiga Rafiki (TR) and Professor Percival Penguin (P3) had a chance to meet. Poor naive Twiga didn't really get it when P3 said they should 'head out for a walk in fresh air.' I don't think he'll make the same mistake twice. All are warm and toasty and getting ready for the sub-zero temperatures headed our way this week. Too cold even for P3!
Thanks for the lovely response to my frozen iced skyline image yesterday which ended up on PP. Always appreciate your visits and comments.
what are the odds, i took out little wahoo today and you got the prof on today's post! TR methinks is at a disadvantage as he's a tropics kind of guy and not at all used to the cold. prof, you're not playing fair, huh!
Oh poor TR, what a shock to the African system!! I think P3 should knit him a super sized scarf for that long neck for their next excursion in Chicago.
Just in case, do you have a fireplace? Here in bitter cold weather invariably the electricity goes out. I’m always thankful for our gas log fireplace. I love your narrative, I had been thinking about you and Junko because of the bitter cold you are experiencing. 😊
Great composition Taffy. I have just been watching the severe weather on our TV news which was concentrating on Chicago. You certainly are having severe weather and it makes ours seem like summer in comparison
So Twiga Rafiki has been named. Quite splendidly too. A bit of a harsh initiation for TR having only just adapted to being away from the African climate.
@jgpittenger Surviving by staying inside. So much in the city has closed that there is really no reason to go out, thank goodness. Streets are amazingly empty. Quite surreal as it looks perfectly nice outside, sunny and just a little snow. But winds howl and there are constant notices about staying inside via a range of sources.
Cute- thankfully the Critters need no convincing that this weather is too cold for them. They also know that getting too close to the wood stove could be just as fatal!
