Not a composite but I had to move the moon. It was rising and on track to hang above the 'engagement ring building,' the image you see here. So, I set up my tripod, changed to my 150-600mm lens, tested settings, and was ready to snap at the perfect moment. At 10:55 it was to the left and a little lower but getting close. I took another test shot a few minutes later and weirdly, the building was no longer showing up. Turns out, they turned off the lights at 11:00! The moon was centered shortly after. So, for this shot, taken a little earlier, I moved the moon over (in PS) so that it was where it would have been if the lights hadn't gone out.
This is fabulous Taffy! I am laughing at the thought of them turning the lights off just as you were taking your shot! Well done on moving the moon over just a little - we would never had known.
Fabulous image Taffy. If you hadn't "fessed up" to moving the moon I certainly wouldn't have known. What a pain that the lights went out when they did.
Get everything set up so perfect and rather than Nature causing a problem, it's a man made one! Go figure! Well, good job in making it what it was supposed to be! fav
@jyokota@gardenfolk@featherstone26@rjb71@pamknowler Thank you all for letting me know. This was such great news to see today (especially after finding out from the doctor this morning that it's 99% likely that when I fell, I actually fractured my hip!). So it was great having this bright spot!
Oh no...I am so sorry!!! Will it heal on its own or will you need surgery? I hear hip surgery is easier than knee surgery...but still no fun, especially with the virus!
@gardenfolk Surgery is, I hope, not on the table. I have four more weeks of keeping weight off of my right leg/hip and then hopefully it will be safe to go for an Xray or MRI. It really threw me as I was expecting to talk about a PT and exercise recovery strategy.
@taffy oh no Taffy what a shock for you! No wonder you have been in such pain with it. Hopefully it will improve so that you don’t have to go to hospital- not a place to visit at the moment! Take care and feel better soon! Big hug xx
@pamknowler Thanks for the kind words, Pam! Yeah, total shock. But no hospital visits planned in the near future -- at least not til totally safe again!
Hey, thanks for your warm congrats on the selfie w/cello pic's placement in the TT.
