The Conductor's Quiet Moment

Prior to the start of each concert, it was interesting to watch the preparation routines for the various musicians and directors. I imagine in some ways its like an athlete preparing for a major event -- both mentally and physically.

I have not really thought about how a conductor approaches a concert before. I think of him organizing the musicians but here it is very clear he must organize his own thoughts first. Great shot.
