Serenity at Mile 8.4

Junko and I did a massive hike at Starved Rock State Park, over 9 miles, 20,000 steps, and 47 flights of stairs. But worth it for some of the waterfalls and even more the satisfaction of knowing that we did it! Back in Chicago, spending lots of time unpacking and reorganizing, getting caught up with friends, appointments, etc. Fun being home with friends I missed over the summer.

So many choices!. It looks like many photos in one. Maybe if you cropped off right it would still have the wonderful roots and waterfall and the rocks in front but not also the reverse L of the rocks. I wish they ed the eye to the waterfall instead of to nowhere. On the other hand it is beautiful

Another possibility is to crop off right so you have less rock face and the log takes you in from the right and the rocks, in a circuitous way, from the left. I do find the tree on left a distraction though
