White Ibis by taffy

White Ibis

This bird has the longest and brightest beak!
I went birding with a real birder (as in not a bird photographer but one who is counting and reporting bird numbers to eBird). So she knew the bird areas well and we saw about 40 different species in 2 1/2 hours. I'm overwhelmed with bird photos now -- such a nice problem to have!
The background was kind of dull and muddy so I decided to dull it further using Textures2 software.
Great angle to emphasize the bird's curved beak! Background is well done too.

My Hubby has recently become a Twitcher and knows so many birds. I just know if it has wings and it flies, it's a bird lol. This is a lovely ibis.

I love their eyes… I know just how you feel about the bird photos. I had so many from three days of hiking at the Orlando Wetlands Park that I took the time to review and edit for my January calendar.

Nice processing I like that you can still see his feet through the water.

Great shot and edit. Wish I could find one of those people. I need to find some new places to look.

@rickster549 Join Audubon meetups. That seems to me the fastest way to connect with actual birders and learn about a range of sites. They are all over the country. Good luck!
