I'm starting Flash of Red February without a lot of hope for completing it, given all that February is bringing (move back to Chicago being the biggest). But here's a start. I thought the focus for the next few days is shape, leading me to choose this bird for its unique fuzzy hairdo. But it may have been high key. So I'm basically just confused and posting this one anyway.

@jgpittenger We have just under two weeks. Leave to visit friends near here (Amelia Island and Jekyll Island), then head west and north. We'll take our time and avoiding any drive in bad weather. It's been so nice being able to go outdoors! And the birding opportunities are amazing (though I'm now tending to see the same birds each time). They are always doing something new, though.
@falcon11 That's partly why I doubt I'll be able to keep going with Flash of Red. The color here is wonderful and with company coming this weekend, and then preparing to return home over the next few weeks, time is getting away from me. Enjoy your time here! Remind me where you are?
