So this happened.. by tinley23

So this happened..

It was right in front of our house yesterday at teatime. The driver was unhurt but very upset about his “pride and joy” (Jaguar). I was much more upset about the big hole it’s made in the old hawthorn hedge. Hope it recovers.
Not good at all - and it probably did more damage being removed too...

Oh no. Hope the hedge recovers.

What an unwelcome shock for both of you!

Oops, looks as though he was driving his pride and joy just a bit too fast. Glad nobody was hurt and I hope the hedge recovers.

Never fun... fingers crossed for your hedge!

Oh...

Not the sort of picture you were looking for I guess.

Wow! Maybe the hedge kept him from coming any further into your yard. Hope all recovers well.

Hope he apologised

Pat
Lucky it was there I guess or he could have been at your door. Hopefully the hedge will knit back together, it looks quite well established.

Oh dear glad the driver's only suffering hurt pride! The hedge should recover but it will probably take a year or two

Oops! Good that the person wasn’t injured. Hedges & cars will mend.
November 15th, 2020
Wow Good to know the driver was okay and I hope he at least apologized for the damage!

How awful. Glad no one was hurt and I'm sure the hedgerow will recover in time.

OMG! Something must have distracted the driver to drive right into the bush. At least nobody was hurt and the car could be mended and brought back as new.
November 16th, 2020
Oh no!

@robz @wakelys @miss_molly @clivee @theredcamera @30pics4jackiesdiamond @pattyblue @francesc @carole_sandford @bubblequeen @serendypyty @sangwann @lmsa Thank you all. The council have refused to do anything about the hedge, but one of our neighbours saw the driver return to collect his vehicle (we were amazed that he could drive it away), and he agreed to pay for the hedge to be "put right". Whatever that means...
