I had a few hours to kill whilst the granddaughters were at school so I did a longish, circular walk from Thame to Haddenham and back. It was not particularly easy and it was quite warm, so I had a nice rest on the bench and watched all the ducks on the pond.
A lovely shot, of this interesting church in its beautiful setting - fav! I have also walked from Thame to Haddenham, via Long Crendon, Chearsley, Nether Winchendon and Cuddington. All these places are Midsomer Murders filming locations and provided some great photo opportunities
The book is called 'Midsomer Murders on Location' by Sabine Schreiner and Joan Street. It gives brief notes on the history of each village, and brief details of places where filming took place. It also mentions some of the episode titles. No walks are gives, but with the relevant OS map it is quite easy to create walks. My explorations took me to some beautiful places when one of my daughters lived in Buckinghamshire.
You're welcome. I think the real stars of Midsomer Murders are the beautiful villages they use as a setting, and they are well worth a visit. My favourite is Turville, which is some way south of Thame, towards Henley on Thames.
