Guillotine Lock by tinley23

Guillotine Lock

We came across the lock on the left yesterday, one we’d never seen before. We spent a while figuring out its workings and came to the conclusion that it must work something like a guillotine does. Then we carried on our walk under the bridge, and there was a sign explaining that very thing. Clever us!
A gruesome end but hopefully quick.

Lovely shots of this unusual lock.
There is always something to surprise us isn’t there?
Love the light on the tree leaves too.
