Purple Plant... by vignouse

Purple Plant...

One week down and fifty-one to go! I had fun in my first week, letting my imagination have free reign. For my second week I'm going to rely on my eyes and look for things around the house that are calling out to be noticed.

I'm beginning with this plant - it's some kind of trefoil, I don't know what - that has wonderful purple/dark pink foilage and delicate little pastel flowers. This particular specimen has lived on our bedroom window sill for the past 10 years and seems as happy with us as we are with it.
Very pretty.

Very nice. I like the crisply delicate flower over the rich dark shades of the background. Seems almost three dimensional.

Yum, what rich color, but it's the delicacy of the stems that strikes me most. Beautiful capture.

Lovely photo. I believe it's an oxalis. Have you had it long? They grow from bulbs, and some of them have a dormant season when they die down and then resume growth after a few months.

@therubysusan Hi TRS... and thanks for all the comments and Favs - very much appreciated by this newbie. We've had this plant about 10 years - it was a couple of leaves begged from a restaurant who had a huge one in a window and lots of friends have, in turn, begged a cutting. It doesn't appear to have any seasons at all and Its leaves fold up at night and look like butterflies at rest. It's now very much part of the family.

Some of them do and some don't - or it may be something completely different! I look forward to seeing it again some day!
