As I've had so many nice comments about the beauty of the Abbey, I wanted to show the interior of the Abbey Church today. Unfortunately, it was rather dull inside and, being a weekday, there was only minimal lighting. I had to do a lot of local adjustment in Lightroom to arrive at this result which, unfortunately, doesn't at all do justice to the beauty of the interior.
I'll rectify this when I can get a chance to take some shots when the church is fully lit... for now, enjoy this foretaste of wonders to come!
What a beautiful model to have - The beauty of any building, especially one with a history, is so dynamic, I get the feeling that we'll be seeing this Abbey in an array of styles and lighting conditions.
Richard great details and even light flares at f/11.. Hope to see more photos when the lighting is more dramatic. One is drawn deep into this photo on the aisle between the benches; to the very beautiful altar
@tosee Thanks Tom - I need to wait until the church is fully lit - there are a mass of floodlights - but the dynamic range is likely to be extreme so I will probably have to resort to HDR or a blend to get the capture i want.
