... aka the The Editing Desk from Hell. I started counting the items on my desk and stopped at 200 - there are waaay more than that but to have counted the rest, I would have had to have started moving things! Aren't you all glad that normally you only see the finished edit ;-)
So this is where the magic happens, well, the editing magic anyways. From the thumbnail view of the others of your pictures, I'd say there's magic happening with the camera first and foremost. Looking forward to browsing through some of your other photos. In the meantime, nice to meet you. Thank you for the generous comment shared on my Prairieland Barn picture, and for the fav as well. Much appreciated. BTW, creative photo idea here.
@darylo Well Daryl, the other three walls of my office are almost completely filled with (full!) shelving and I've been kind of holding out for one uncluttered wall, but...
Richard, you surprise me. I expected a pristine work area. This looks like my desk at work, only it goes to the whole office. LOL I feel like we are even closer friends now.
@joansmor Oh no, Joan - when it comes to tidy, I'm definitely the prototype for Mr. Messy! It drives Mrs. S to distraction. You'd die if you saw the rest of my office... and especially the floor; there are three chairs in there but only one you can sit on!
I'm with Mrs. S - but see the desk and know the man. Great photo with the photo on the monitor. I find myself playing "I spy with my little eye". Agree with you about 'selectively de-focussed but it's a bit of a mouthful.
@jocasta@pjr I was a bit lazy with the monitor because it's not the same photo - I should have taken one more but, contrary to what it says in the EXIF data (I hadn't changed the camera time to BST), it was 11.26pm and I wanted to get it done and posted before the 'witching hour'. In retrospect, I'm a bit cross with myself for not taking the time though...
@vignouse So we are alike and our spouses are alike. My dear Jim was neat freak. There was a program here in the states that you may have seen in Europe (also a play) called the Odd couple and that was us in every way. I towered over him, he was 32 years my senior. I miss my neatnik. We got things cleaned up when he was here.
Nice shot, and a fascinating insight into the way you work. We share the characteristic of being Mr Messy! Before I finished work senior management introduced a 'clear desk' policy - I was a complete failure with that!
