Chania by vignouse

Chania

This is the next in my series of "Everyday things pictured in an unordinary way." I'm not certain if Chania can be said to be a 'thing' but she is certainly part of our everyday. This image was taken with a new toy that arrived today - a LED ring light: it has a quite bright focussing light and Chania refused to look at it, hence she is looking off to her right... but I still liked this pic, so it's my image for today.

Worth viewing on black if you can spare the time.
Beautiful cat. Wonderful detail. In my picture of Teriyaki the other day I fired off flash pictures continuously because he kept moving his ears as I flashed. Two knows the sound before the camera will produce a flash and manages to look away. They are so clever these cats. And it has to be their way.

@joansmor I'm so pleased (and totally unsurprised) that you were the first to comment Joan. I've taken flash photos of Chania in the past, but with this LED ringlight, the focussing light is permanently illuminated and it's quite bright, which is what made her look away... shame!

Oh, I like the way she's looking away -- she's thinking deep thoughts. Lovely cat.

A lovely perspective! The red and green in the background adds a great accent.

Oh love this shot! The clarity is right on............ the bokeh colors make Chania stand out. Btw Richard my cat does this as well when I try to take her photo with a flash.

I can see that she is slightly annoyed - something in the eyes. You do need good light for these good focused shots! Sounds a great addition!

Wonderful shot and pov. We have been paired up this week for get-pushed and I have to admit I am struggling coming up with a challenge as your skills ar e very advanced, you have trend so many techniques and create angles, how do you feel about having fun with double exposure?

Wonderful perspective.

@roseolivia I'll give that a go Rachel, it's something I've never done in camera - I've only reproduced the effect in PS.
