...in Paimpont Abbey. I liked the patterns on the wall made by the sunlight streaming through the windows which give onto the 'Jardin des Augustins' - the area formerly occupied by the cloisters which were destroyed in the 17th C when the Abbey was extended to provide more accommodation.
What a gorgeous space. The shadows and light on the left wall are super. The textures and colors in the stonework are terrific. The hallway lines, punctuated by the textured window inserts, leading to the ancient door, are so great. Let me end the nattering by hitting the "fav" key. :)
Gorgeous! I really like the light from the windows on the wall and all the different textures. The brown door is just enough color to pull your eye through the frame :)
Fantastic photograph. The light and shadows on the wall are a wonderful extra to this warm and inviting corridor. Love the rich browns of the inviting door. Whatever editing touch you've employed, it's the perfect touch.
