...much smaller than this - and they don't let in very much light! Especially when the aperture is effectively only f/180 and the illumination is a LED torch at a relatively low ISO500 in order to limit the noise. I had to sit very still for 8 seconds... but this fulfils a promise I made a few weeks ago to do a selfie with a pinhole 'lens'.
@maggiemae Yes I could have added more light but with there being no optics at all, a pinhole 'lens' is inherently low contrast so I deliberately lit this to be low key. A tiny hole in a piece of kitchen foil just doesn't have the same optical qualities as a 85mm f/1.4 portrait lens... but it doesn't cost as much either!
