Cherry Tree Dressed for Autumn by vignouse

Cherry Tree Dressed for Autumn

I've been prowling round the garden again and found myself captivated by the turning leaves of the wild cherry tree backlit by the late afternoon sun.
This would seem to me to be one of those lucky timing moments. Because I am thinking they are not lit for long.

Wonderfully backlit leaves....such a glow....perfectly timed!
My favorite saying, Richard is along the lines of yours from Seneca: "God helps those who help themselves"!

@panthora One of my mother's favourite sayings, she would say it, pause, then add, "And God help those caught helping themselves!"

Like very much that the central leaf is back to front....you can see the stalk has inverted so that we're able to see the veins.

They simply pop out of the frame, don't they? Very nicely done Richard. Autumn is such a lovely season yet I seldom make it a subject my photos. I did one a couple of days ago, maybe I will post it right now!

Well, I see I'm not the only one attracted by back lit fall leaves ;-). Beautiful image and good to see this from another point on the planet.
