ONS 10 - Day 7: Macro - First Christmas Rose by vignouse

ONS 10 - Day 7: Macro - First Christmas Rose

I took macro photos of a wide range of things this afternoon, including a miniature wire brush, camera controls, begonia leaves... in the end I settled for this proxi-photo of the first hellebore in the garden to come into bloom.

So ends my first attempt at a One Night Stand and I certainly had fun... but the jury is out on whether it did my photography skills any good!
Congrats you finished the week and in style, I got waylaid yesterday, so no low light or macro.

Exquisite. Very much like this small flower with its waxy flowers that bloom well into Spring. If that is not enough, after the flowers the leaf stalks grow to about 20 - 30 cm. These too are last for months, finally giving way to the new growth seen here.

Wonderful detail on the flower. Love the flower blooming as the dead leave lie in the garden.
