Paimpont 2018: Day 61 - Requiem for an Amaryllis by vignouse

Paimpont 2018: Day 61 - Requiem for an Amaryllis

We've had several amaryllis bulbs this winter, all bought cheaply, that have given spectacular results. All have had two stems with up to six blooms on each stem.

By keeping them initially in a cool room without water and only bringing them into the warm when the previous plant had all but finished flowering, Mrs S ensured that we have been able to enjoy these spectacular plants for many weeks.

But all good things come to an end and it is time to put the last bulb out of its misery... but not before I capture one last image.

It's BoB of course!
yes, it looks tired and worn out. but aces on the lighting!

I like this stage of the flower's life and the way you've captured it as a beautiful stage in its own right.
