I need some advice from someone's opinion I value. You may know that the new PS I got stopped working after 24 hours. SO I was going to look at another one. But wanting to stay in my price range more or less I found it hard to get the things I wanted. Manual mode and RAW. Plus I really liked the pictures that the camera took. So I am considering getting the same one (Panasonic DC-ZS70S Lumix) only buy it at Best Buy which has a physical location in Portland. Also going to buy the one year maintenance contact. I like how it worked and the pictures it took. Am I foolish?

@joansmor Hello Joan - well if the camera was fundamentally flawed, I guess Panasonic would have taken it off the market. I did a search online for reliability issues but didn't find anything so it seems likely that you were just unlucky and got a rogue model. If it ticks all your boxes then go ahead with a second purchase. I don't understand though why you want a one year maintenance contract - isn't that what the guarantee is for?

A fine shot! Great textures... can always rely on a wood stack to furnish the raw material but you have to know how to use the technology to produce an excellent end result like this. Fav
