The story behind this is to be found in my main 365 entry for today. What is now Gaël Forest was a German camp and airbase during WW2. Most of the buildings were of wooden construction and have long since disappeared but the infrastructure buildings were constructed from reinforced concrete and their remains can still be glimpsed among the trees. This is one of my favourites - the camp swimming pool.
