OCOLOY Day 32: Dwarfed! by vignouse

OCOLOY Day 32: Dwarfed!

This is a former mill in the ancient village of Le Gue and this building probably dates from the beginning of the 18th C. I like the contrast between the squat solidity of this old stone building and the graceful airiness of the tall tree that dwarfs it.

This image is SOOC and is part of my ongoing OCOLOY project - you can read more about it in my post for 1 January and in my profile. I'm also posting for B&W February.

As usual, I like this best viewed on black.
Wonderful lines!

@annied Well thanks Annie but this is the same image - the other one was just pushed a little to bring out the fine detail which was always there, just not so apparent.

This is a lovely image with a great pov and a natural real feeling. Prefer this sooc maybe a slight tweak or burn and dodge but this is a place I could walk.

The details are much clearer in this one. I do like the softness of the other one, too.

Just gorgeous and love the textures and the ivy that is growing up the side of the house. The way the roof slants towards the water makes it nice for rain or snow to keep flowing into it!! It is much better on black and I love that big old, tall tree!!! FAV!

This has a timeless feel. Almost like an etching.

@vignouse ha ha yes I know it is the same image silly - I am saying I prefer the branches left alone - which I think is agreeing with Mrs S :)
