OCOLOY Day 49: Perimiter Guard by vignouse

OCOLOY Day 49: Perimiter Guard

Thanks to all you of who offered kind thoughts for a speedy recovery as I'm suffering from a rather nasty flu thing. Unfortunately I'm not out of it yet as I had a bad night: I have a heart condition which is controlled by daily drugs but last night the drugs didn't work and dawn found me completely washed-out... so a day in bed and no photography. I have an appointment with the cardiologist at 8.30 am (!) tomorrow. For my shot of the day I'm posting a picture I took in Paimpont 2 days ago of a cat lounging on a house wall. (I did actually take a few photos through the bedroom window today... but nothing worth inflicting on you!)

This image is SOOC and is part of my ongoing OCOLOY project - you can read more about it in my post for 1 January and in my profile. I'm also tagging this for B&W February.
Thinking of you...hope you can get this taken care of. We will all be here tomorrow! P.S. Love your photography!

Good that you can get a quick appointment with a cardiologist! Sounds like my hubby who has a heart condition (AF) and sometimes it goes on all night! Dear pussy!

Hoping you get well soon!! Nice pic, caption!

@maggiemae Yes Maggie, that's what I have... the palpitations were so so severe last night that they actually woke Mrs S who could feel them vibrating through the mattress. Of course now, with my appointment only 8 hours away... everything has returned to normal... except that I still feel like sh*t!

Hope you will soon be feeling better ...

A wonderful capture of this sweet cat. It sounds like you're taking care of yourself by getting into the doctor quickly. Hopefully, you will be on the mend soon, Richard...take care.

Oh dear Richard! I hope you're soon on the mend. Meanwhile if you're incline to like a drop of something, Well!

Take care.

I hope you feel better very soon. I don't consider a picture that is only 2 days old as very old at all. Very cute cat.

Lovely b&w.

Hopefully the worst is behind you and you will soon return to normal. Until then, mind your wife (and doctor). Take care!

Stopping by to visit your project after a few days away... distressed to learn that you are under the weather and needing the services of your neighborhood cardiologist. I have family with this condition, too. Hoping for a speedy recovery and a return to normalcy. Your kitty is very sweet. My best to Mrs. S, too.

@vignouse Sounds exactly as I know! Its always frightening though!

@maggiemae My cardiologist told me this morning that the next time it happens I have to get up and go to the hospital (20+ miles away) and ask them to do an electro-cardiogram so that she can see exactly what's happening! She's changed my medication so, with a bit of luck, the .next time' won't be any time soon!

@vignouse The pills that John has only make his heart beat slower and also pills to thin the blood. They don't really stop the events happening! John finds they mostly happen at night though he can start one happening with hard exercise. (good excuse not to exercise)

My boss has this and one of my gf's. Not fun. Take care. Hope you had a better nights sleep with the med change.

get well soon :)

Stroof Richard, this sounds challenging. I hope the change in medication goes well. I like the shot: you can feel the warmth of the sun on the basking cat.
