Today in Europe we celebrate VE Day; in our little village of Paimpont the Sunday mass is dedicated to the former fighters in all wars and is followed by a celebration at the War Memorial. Afterwards, the entire population is invited to participate in a 'Vin d'Honneur'. Here's Mrs S keeping an eye on me across a crowded reception room.

@laroque As Coëtquidan - the combined services officer training camp for all of France - is just by us, we have the pleasure of having a platoon of officer-cadets present 8 May and 11 November. I couldn't be lured away even if I had so wished as I was animating the service at l'Abbaye de Paimpont!
