OCOLOY Day 263: Vieux Bergergerac by vignouse

OCOLOY Day 263: Vieux Bergergerac

From the middle ages until relatively modern times the bridge at Bergerac was the only place to cross the River Dordogne consequently it was the first of the towns in the valley to be developed. Bergerac today retains an extensive 'vieux quartier' and each corner you turn in the quaint little streets reveals a view like this one.

As usual, the image is SOOC and is part of my ongoing OCOLOY project - you can read more about it in my profile. This is also for 'Square September' which you can find more about here - http://365project.org/discuss/general28377/square-september
Lovely to be in these streets when there are few people about. The muted colours of the colombage guards these dwellings from looking sombre.

Well done for avoiding shadows and sunlight, which is the problem I have with this type of shot.
