This is the last night of our holiday and we're stopping at La Gacilly the home of the Yves Rocher perfumes and toiletries enterprise and also home to France's largest outdoor photo exhibition. The theme this year is Oceans and the guest country is Japan. We visited earlier in the year with my daughter and her fiancé but they got photo fatigue towards the end of the day so we didn't see everything - we caught up this afternoon and will be making our way home tomorrow - less than an hour's journey.
There is a weir in the river at this point and no lock so this guy had to manhandle his canoe to regain navigable water - I liked the trompe l'oeil effect..
As usual, the image is SOOC and is part of my ongoing OCOLOY project - you can read more about it in my profile. This is also for 'Square September' which you can find more about here - http://365project.org/discuss/general28377/square-september
The trompe l'ceil effect, with the figure under the bridge, is a delightful addition. Your Fuji really take such a nice, clear shot, by the way. Lovely on black.
Fantastic; wonderful full gray scale tones from deep black dark gray mid
gray and lighter to white. Love the way you framed the boat and person
silhouette .
So very interesting to look at. While the person under the bridge is your subject, I can't stop looking at the bridge. Very different looking than those here.
