@frankhymus Thanks Frank - I've been fighting a reluctant laser printer all evening which didn't want to be recognised after Windows 10 did a major upgrade and I needed to print off the scores for mass tomorrow as I'm leading the service. I finally got there just before midnight but what to do for 365? This was conceived, shot and uploaded in under 10 minutes!
@francoise@jyokota I chose this bottle because I thought that it might raise a few smiles - you can see the three monkeys, cast in metal, which are glued to the shoulder of the bottle... hence the name. I also chose it because it's a jolly good whisky!
@frankhymus Mr Bezos's enterprise informed me by e-mail earlier today that mine will be delivered on Monday morning... it won't get much use until I've finished with Ocoloy though ;-((
Super image...great composition, lighting...I certainly understand your frustration with WIN10. WIN10, in my opinion, has too many areas for storing pics.
Nicely composed shot. Almost smell the whisky here in somerset. Alarming about win10 as I am in the process of ditching my Mac and going over to the dark side after 20 years of using Apple
Interesting... I have been threatening for a year to buy the iMac with the high-definition sccreen... why do you want to go back to the 'dark-side'? I wouldn't worry about my problems - it's an obsolete printer that I bought in the time of Windows Vista and we have had 7. 8, 8.1 and 10 since then.
Windows will always need much more than a bottle of whiskey, I fear... I switched off to Mac 10 years ago after literally throwing out the window my latest newest last win laptop and I never regretted of having done that (throwing the win laptop and switching off to Mac!)
Tells a great story! I hope you enjoy your XT2 as much as I am enjoying mine, though I don't have much to compare it too. I only have the kit lens at the moment. My next purchase is the 35mm F2, so I can have a weather proof kit. Working with my X70 has made me enjoy having a fixed lens length.
@ukandie1 I wondered how you were getting on with it... I wasn't going to get the kit lens but at only 200€ more and in view of the good reports it gets, it seemed silly not to! The lens I really want is the 56mm f/1.2 but that will have to wait a while.
Interesting. Compare the issues leading to the drink with the business concept of 'who owns the monkey'; in this instance the 'monkey' being the service.
@runner365 They are of more use to the organist (when we have one) than me - I lead the singing and worship in a very amateur fashion: I am definitely not musical, I can't play any instrument and Lord knows I've tried!
As regards my trial of the X-T2 (one of your new favorites i know) it's been dull and raining all week end, so perhaps later.
