Today has been rather full, culminating with the back end of the afternoon and the first part of the evening spent at the Abbey putting in place the Crèche which is central to our celebrations of Christmas. I had meant to take photos but ran out of time so here's Mitzi sat on the back of our sofa this evening.
As usual, the image is SOOC and is part of my ongoing OCOLOY project - you can read more about it in my profile.
Mitzi will serve fine for today's shot, I find it remarkable that you set yourself such restrictive parameters for the year and yet delivered a fresh and interesting shot everyday, well done, of course you still have to deliver 7 more, we will be watching.
@jack4john Thank you John: I wish it was only seven more - I'm failing fast - but I need 14 more to reach the end of the year. I will get there but I can't promise that there will be any masterpieces along the way :-))
@lyndemc This is indeed a homemade quilt, thought not handmade. It was my first one when I decided to have a go with my sewing machine. It was very much a prototype and from which I learned what not to do and discovered what I should do and have made 4 more since. Both stepdaughters and eldest goddaughter have had theirs...so the 4th one was for me! Maybe I'll post a pic...after Christmas. Thank you for your interest.
I am reminded of the still shot from the movie 'Sunset Blvd' where Gloria Swanson says, "Alright, Mr. DeMille, I am ready for my close up now." MItzi looks rather regal here.
@s4sayer Thank you for the details about the quilt. Wether hand-sewn or done with a machine, a quilt's a big project. I would imagine that Mitzi doesn't mind the snuggling on a prototype blanket; it's made with love none the less. :)
