PLAY February - Fuji 18mm f/2: Paimpont Lake South
In response to yesterday's picture of the lake landing stages, Claes @runner365 said, "I guess we can now appoint you as master photographer of fence posts and Paimpont Lake." Well, despite the numerous photos that I've posted of the lake, there's still one part that has never featured in my project... until now! The south end of the lake is cut in two by the main exit road to the west leaving what is now little more than a stagnant pond as you can see above... and now perhaps I am worthy of the honorary title that Claes has bestowed upon me ;-))
This is for my PLAY project - you can read more about it in my profile - where I'll be using a different prime lens for each month of the year: for February it's the Fujinon 18mm f/2 on an APS-C sensor camera (today the Fuji X-Pro1) - the equivalent of a 28mm lens on a full-frame camera.
Just beyond the furthest trees, there is a path, one of many, which leads into the forest where Mitzi and I often walk. Whilst not as picturesque as the Grotte Trot, it certainly has its charm...and far fewer people. ;-)
I wish you could see the morning news showing the snow storm blowing outside and you would so appreciate your peaceful scene, Trying to prep myself mentally to go out and clean off the steps, TG no work.
@frankhymus Thank you very much Frank - I always worry that I might have pushed these a bit too hard but I do like the end result... and you too apparently ;-)
@vignouse What is fun about B&W, at least for me, is that you can almost always push them significantly more than color, and still have an effective interpretation. And even better, you can push them is opposing ways, and come up with a number of different, yet effective, interpretations.
