The Fossils

The Fossils motorbike ride is an annual charity event that we join. The money raised goes toward the local Air Ambulance & The Blood runners who are a team of motorcyclists who have a vital role in supporting the Health Service.
Both so worthwhile.
The question is does the use of the word fossils refer to the riders or the bikes that they are ridding as there are both vintage/classic bikes and riders!!
