@will_wooderson - Definitely still there when I looked yesterday. I can't see any chewing gum and I haven't stuck it with anything. I wouldn't be able to reach!
@will_wooderson - I have seen a few in my time. Some people get bored when sitting next to a termite mound, so often they may carve a bit of a mouth and add a few rocks... I've seen beer drinking termite mounds, termite mounds with tyres growing out of them.
I'm thinking of one day, getting a stone cutting disc on an angle grinder and a little generator and going to town on a mound.
