In the background is Mount Ruapehu, unusual to see snow there in Summer. Tomorrow we are doing the Tongariro Crossing hopefully, weather permitting. See November for the shots, when we tried it then, but had to turn back due to weather conditions. We were supposed to climb yesterday, but all crossings were cancelled due to gale force winds and rain
Wonderful. I am heading down there tomorrow, staying in a lodge at the top of the Bruce. Hoping to walk up Ruapehu on Sunday, also hoping to get some good sunset photos. Tomorrow is R for photo faction so maybe we'll both have R for Ruapehu. Looking forward to seeing your photos.
@deliad yes, going with a mountain rescue man, we're actually not doing the whole crossing, but a bit of off piste once we're at the crater. Meeting him at 6.30am
