Today was a wet miserable day, so Ian and I went to the movies to watch Bohemian Rhapsody. Talk about stirring memories. I remember exactly the first time I heard Bohemian Rhapsody, I remember where I was watching Live Aid, and I remember the minute I heard Freddy had died (and crying my eyes out). Prompted me to look through our vinyl collection. I'm sure we had some Queen on vinyl, but couldn't find it. I know we have heaps on CD's. We both love music, and between us have an eclectic taste. We no longer have a record player, but can't bear to part with the old memories. Most is reproduced on digital media anyway but...... And anyway, some of those singles are collectors items now!
I have so much vinyl but like you I can't bear to part with it, my 18yr old daughter loves it too and we bought her a record player last year, so I can play mine now!
Great memories. I went to see Bohemian Rhapsody twice too, don't sit through movies more than once very often, but had to go back for another time. May even get it on DVD when it is released too, a fabulous movie.
It was the only movie I have been to where everyone in the cinema just sat there until all the titles finished and the screen went black. Nobody left until it was completely over. That is a credit to the movie.
