I shot this earlier in the week, but kind of appropriate for today. This morning I attended a friends funeral, she was only 57. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in April last year, but it was already at Stage 4. She decided not to tell anyone, and crammed as much as she could into her last year on earth. She was such an out going character. Her 4 children decided to have a celebration of her life rather than a funeral, so it was a bit unorthodox. We had to wear bright colours, and she left the church to a song by Pink, with her family singing and dancing behind her. Lots of laughter and tears. Lesley you will be missed. RIP
So sorry for the loss of your friend Carole! I have lost so many this past year and will lose more this year. A wonderful capture and tribute for your friend.
This is a beautiful image to remember your friend today. She would approve of all the lovely colours at the cemetery. Such a terrible shame when she was so young.
I very much like the idea of the Celebration of Life.
