Took this after a 2 hour visit to the vet. Found my little girl cat on the deck this morning, looks like she'd been mauled by a dog. Of course our local vets don't have small animal cover during holidays, so we had to take her to the vet hospital in Hamilton. They wanted me to keep her in the car until they could get through all the other patients, but I managed to get through to them that it was really urgent. They immediately gave her pain killers, then we had to wait outside until they could examine her properly. She is having surgery this afternoon to sew up the gaping wound in her neck, and they're going to x-ray her too. Going to be a huge bill. Had to leave a deposit of $1000 just for the surgery this afternoon. Fingers crossed she'll come through!
@dide@rickster549@ludwigsdiana@ingrid01@christinav thank you for the kind thoughts. Just got her home. Still drugged up, and she has stitches all down one side, around her neck, and is sporting a green bandage on a paw. Have to take her back on Friday. Sleeping it off now
So glad she came through her treatment safely. What a shock you had & she will be very shocked too…that is another danger. The price is steep but as long as she’s OK. Glad you persisted for her. Will watch her progress!
