Firstly thank you everyone for the sympathy messages, it was such a shock to find our poor boy. My friend here is also a huge cat fan, and understood perfectly our sorrow, as the same thing happened to one of her cats too. She has recently taken up competitive archery and invited me out for a day in the woods with her while she practiced. It certainly took my mind off dwelling! I even got to have a go and managed to hit a target. I had expected the traditional round targets in a field, but this was a 20-target course through the bush and up and down hills. Has loads of fungi potential, so I will be back later in the year.
