Stopped at Lake Waikare and discovered this macabre sight. Actually two pigs heads. This one just looks like it's sleeping, buried in the sand. Can't work out what on earth they were doing there, or why anyone would dump two pigs heads in the first place.
Well I know @graemestevens likes to bury such things so he can get the skulls to photograph. So you've either stumbled into his lair or someone is copying him either way I would cover your tracks quick!
@rjb71 Not my lair but I can answer why they're buried in the sand...maybe. There are a lot of enzymes in sand that will macerate/remove flesh/skin etc from a carcass very quickly...it's a very clean and quick way of doing it
