They are such magnificent birds. Wish my photos could do them justice. I really must learn how to capture birds in flight. If I'd know the gannets were still around, I would have read up on it!

@milaniet Thanks Milanie, it really was a case of press the shutter and hope for the best! Really need to learn how to do birds in flight. I deleted most of the ones I took, as I seemed to be more successful in focussing on the background. Need to read the instruction booklet before I go again
