Nothing like a little action and a One Night Stand Challenge to get you back in the game! Lets all have one together! :o)
For those of you who are new or aren't familiar with the ONS challenge, this is how it works;
I have compiled a long list of photography types and put them all in a hat! Just like a one night stand, some are pretty and nice, some are ugly and mean! I've randomly selected 7 types and gave them each a day! You get one day with each type and then set them free! One post for each type then its on to another! Love 'em and leave 'em!
Make sure to tag your pics ONS7 so we can all watch each other go through it! That's if you like to watch! :o)
Here is the list;
Tues. 15th - Reflection-and-mirror photography - Anything with a reflection will do!
Wed. 16th - One color dominate
Thurs. 17th- Minimalist photography - The definition is; A style or technique that is characterized by extreme spareness and simplicity. I think this can be very artistic!
Fri. 18th - Nuanced night photography - This is night photography with mood! Using light, fog, light trails, whatever it takes to capture a mood with night photography...or simply taking a shot at night will do! ;o)
Sat.19th- Street - This one comes up as often as the selfie! Both just as terrifying!
Sun. 20th - Landscape
Mon. 21st - Food
There it is! Some are fun, some are a little challenging, some are down right horrifying! :o)
What makes this challenge fun is we all go through it together! One pic and leave it for the next! Tag your post ONS7 or post your pic here so we can all see each others works of art!
I hope you get lucky! ;o)
@spanner glad to hear it, Spanner! :) @seejillrun All naughty girls welcome! ;) @annied It's a great way to keep your mind busy for a little while! :) @salza I know! :o) Glad your in, Sally! @paign Yay! Looking forward to your street shot! :) @mzzhope :-D @sjodell glad your in, Sarah! @ltodd Oh, me too, Lyn! ;o)
Never done this before....sounds intriguing!! Count me in!
So, just to be clear, we do one of these topics as designated each day for a week, right, not just one day!
Ah I so wanted to try this all the time and now you're doing it and I'm in Rome on vacation!
Not sure if I'll be able to do every type then but I think I'll try :D
What an interesting idea. I have some ideas, but sure some will be less than ordinary. That's what 365 is all about... Putting you outside your comfort zone.
This does sound fun. Evidence that my photos need some inspiration...in the last week my photos have included a sock and brussels sprouts. Count me in!
Whoa, you keep sneaking these in on us (you might want to post it in themes/challenges too?) and I'm so glad I caught it. If I missed a ONS, I would be beside myself. Niece in town, but I'm game to get on this starting tomorrow! Downtown I'll be and there's a mirror or two I'm sure. Or reflection. Thanks Jerry for making my day!
I'm so glad I saw Sally's @salsa post for this as I enjoy doing your One Night Stand challenges! I'll be playing catch up, but no problem since I'm behind on posting anyway- lol.
Day three, (minimalism) can I keep it up over Easter?
Would really have loved an extreme tall image, but wary of how it would visualize on all those many screen shapes and sizes out there.
So have curbed my momentary madness :)
Oh I missed this one .... :( I guess photos should be taken in the tiem frame - ought to... Please tag me in for the next one if possible thought I'll try not to miss it
@axika sorry you missed it, Alexandra! I've been thinking about making a list so I can tag everyone next time! I'll have to do that! There are still three days left! You should join in now!
Here ya go, it's been a blast everyone. And @orangecrush , we all thank you for another wild ride. This shot comes with my own recipe for anyone who wants to give it a try. I promise, it's good. :)
Well we all finally came to the end of "ONS7", quite pleased with my efforts if I ignore my Landscape example, with which I expended far too much effort for what I ended up with, but no worries, I did learn something along the way. So just today's effort, then, I'm off to find a different challenge for next week. So with that I hope you all had a good Easter, and here's my results in the food category:
@orangecrush I have enjoyed ONS - having an aim has kept my mind somewhat occupied but also I don't believe every photo has to be a masterpiece to evoke an emotional response or be appreciated - it has been fun to sometimes quickly come up with a fun or interesting way to complete the task

I don't go anywhere so don't be offended if my street picture is literally of a street xD

My House and Tree - for ONS7 - Tuesday's Word: Reflection
Also trying hard to keep file and image size down, but still keep quality in there somewhere.
