A second, and more 'me' take on the format, for my get opushed from kali to do 'dark food. Can you believe that this only took 12 goes and three of those were quick, hand held snaps to see if focus and composition would work. ( Merrlyn, I used a tripod!!)

@kali66 Here you go, taken on a less sunny day, used natural light from the window blocked with board. Ths was dark in another way too, it got a bit singed!!
But it isn't Good Friday yet.......!!! Ha ha, one of my major bugbears that you can buy hot cross buns all year round now! But it is a very pretty picture. Just don't eat the rose....you might get thorns in your teeth!

They look delicious, glad that in your part of the world these buns are allready for sale. Here you can find in the supermarkets easter eggs.........bit early but nice 🤨
that bun looks perfect, i would have liked a little more light just on the front of the rose, perhaps you could have used a little torch for a directional beam, or rigged up something to reflect a bit of light just there... something for another day.
